Bird watching is very popular. Many species may be found around Koala and within a short distance of the lake. The beautiful magpie jays are everywhere and painted buntings are often spotted.

The recent inauguration of the nearby "El Nido" Recreational Center has opened new possibilities for adventure and eco-tourism and provides opportunities to practice rappel and tirolesa.

The lake is clean and ideal for swimming, canoeing and kayaking. National swimming competitions are held several times each year. Try your luck fishing for black bass!

Hiking around the lake is easy and affords some magnificent views.
