KOALA is located beside this beautiful crater lake in rural western Mexico, near Tepic, Nayarit, within a few hours by car from Puerto Vallarta and San Blas on the Pacific coast, and Guadalajara in the altiplano.

Accommodation is provided by a number of bungalows and rooms that sit among orchards and gardens that slope gently down to the lake's edge and are planted with bananas, avocados, mangos, oranges, palm trees, and many flowering shrubs such as hibiscus, jasmin and bougainvillea. Most bungalows have a single bedroom with two double beds, and some have two bedrooms. There is hot and cold water and showers. All have a small kitchen with cooking facilities.
